If it seems like a good fit, they may be asked to stay at the monastery to study, take vows and take up the Dominican Habit. There are currently 15 Sisters residing at Corpus Christi.</p> <p>The Dominican Catholic tradition was inspired by St. Dominic of the thirteenth century, patron saint of astronomers and founder of the Order of Preachers. A Dominican is "one who is polarized by the Word, who studies the Word, who celebrates the Word, who lives it and preaches it to others."</p>
