Arrillaga Family Recreation Center

Nestled in the heart of the civic center, this community services building functions as a place where individuals canMore immerse themselves in the activities that electrify Menlo Park. </p> <p>Cherise Brandell, Community Services Director, compiles an activity guide each season that contains all the action-packed, skill-building courses provided by the city for youths, seniors and all ages between. During the summer months, classes include, Hungarian Dance, Fairy Tale Theater and Kik Sool Won. Registration and payment for classes take place at this location.</p> <p>The rooms in this building, which range from small to large in size, are available to rent for weddings and parties. Inquire at the front desk for details.</p> <p>The center stands in between a large lawn, used to play a variety of sports activities, and a duck pond. Although signs request that people not feed the ducks, the eager behavior of the feathered friends who flock here suggests the rules have been summarily ignored.</p> <p>Tennis court keys for city-owned courts are available for purchase here, too.</p>

Burgess Park

A local neighborhood gem, Burgess Park is located adjacent to the city civic center and is conveniently close to theMore local police station and the Menlo public library. The park is newly renovated, offers many different amenities and is very popular with local residents.</p> <p>Some of the resources you can find include a newly renovated 15,000-square-foot state-of-the-art skate park. The planners worked closely with a group of skaters to provide some the options for the local kids. You'll also find a beautiful outdoor 25-meter swimming pool and a children's pool with brand new locker rooms. A beautiful new grass baseball field that is well maintained and taken care of.  There are many tennis courts available to minimize waiting time, a new basketball court and much more.   </p> <p>Burgess also has a recreation center. The facility has a complete kitchen, dance rooms, multipurpose meeting rooms, classrooms, a large patio and much more. There is also a full sports center that offers a full court basketball court, a volleyball court and a badminton court.   </p> <p>The park has a little league field, a soccer field, an open play field, picnic tables. a children's playground and many facility rental opportunities.</p>
