Developing strong decision-making skills and understanding your intellectual and emotional capabilities as an…More individual are a few of the goals that Mid-Peninsula High School teachers help their students reach.
"We really encourage our students to be non conventional thinkers," Barbara Brown, Director of Admissions, said.
Each teacher is responsible for guiding 15 students or less through their experiences at Mid-Peninsula High.
The curriculum contains the essential core classes required of high school students. It also includes a variety of unique electives such as American Sign Language and Studio Art.
Emphasis is placed on preparing students for a college education, if that is the career path they choose, and providing them with the support necessary for them to successfully transition into the next level of their life. Each student is placed with a Core Teacher who acts as an academic advisor and a life coach.
Mid-Peninsula High School reaches capacity at 140 students, with applications accepted on a rolling basis. Transfer students are accepted.
