Additionally, materials from all libraries in the Peninsula Library System can be searched through the Menlo Park Library website; there also are other libraries outside the Peninsula Library System that can be accessed by California residents. The Menlo Park Library system also offers exam proctoring services for individual students, who can take their exams while seated next to the reference librarian desk.
Belle Haven Child Development Center

The Belle Haven Child Development Center is a preschool that specializes in child care for children ages 3 to 5 yearsMore old. The center is operated by the city of Menlo Park but it is funded by the California Department of Education. Maximum enrollment is capped at 96 kids, a practice that insures that the teacher-to-child ratio remains around 1:8. The kids have ample room to play in the outside garden area or inside in the well-kept classrooms. The school provides both a subsidized and a full-price fee structure. The full-price fee is $32.50 per day ($748 per month) for residents or $44 per day ($1012 per monthly) for non-residents.

Family Connections, formerly known as the East Palo Alto Child Center, is in a portable building on the Belle HavenMore school campus. The program is designed to encourage positive parent and child interaction, as well as instill a sense of limitless potential into the kids in the program. The program is based in San Caros. Its mission is to provide free preschool for children from low-income families throughout San Mateo County.

Menlo Park is proud to be home to the very first Reading Partners center, located at Belle Haven Elementary School onMore the corner of Ivy Drive and Chilco Street.  Situated next to the library, this Reading Partners center was launched in 1999 to help children who were struggling to read transform into confident readers and become excited about learning.
