Very brave individuals to come forward in today's anti-worker climate. You can fight back if youRead More have the tenacity. Good to see the government worked for the worker and not the industry this time. The government agency did what it was supposed to do. But only because the workers stood up to the owners.

Those investigators should have checked with me. I just let them go because I was tired of themRead More using my kitchen stove, dishes and utensils to prepare their meals and then sit at my table for an hour chatting and laughing away while I was trying to work quietly in my home office.

We've used Sunflowers Maid Service for cleaning our multistory Belmont home for about 2 years - andRead More found their workers to be very hardworking and capable. Our only complaint is that they seemed to be too rushed, not putting items back where we had placed them - a symptom of the company's pressure. We hope the company survives - and greatly improves its treatment of its workers. They deserve better.

I am an avid mountain biker who will be voting No. It makes no sense to have my property taxRead More increase when I have to drive hours for a recreational mountain bike opportunity. Mountain biking is a form of recreation of which the open space districts do not support. The only reason mountain bikes are allowed is due to a mandate for multiple use at the time the land was acquired. Over the years the open space districts have closed numerous trails used by mountain bikers. There is an inherent risk of injury, of which, the state of California includes mountain biking. The open space district does not follow this legislation. The open space district uses this risk of injury as a way to prohibit the recreational opportunity. Riding a mountain bike in open space does not require money. Mountain bikers are young and energetic and have offered numerous times, to the districts, to build new trails and maintain existing designated routes.

In regards to bikes on trails: I used to lead hikes in El Corte de Madera OSP which allows bikes. NORead More MORE will I go there on weekends, just too dangerous as a pedestrian. I'm sorry, but there are just too many 'bad seed' bike riders that practice that I'm in THEIR way for momentum [speeding] on trails. I once met a MROSD ranger that stated he "would NOT take his 5 year old daughter for a walk in this park on weekends." What does that tell you about safety? Mind you I'm not against bikes on trails. Just that their courtesy level isn't where it should be. Yes, the law of physics says the larger faster item will always win. I. as a pedestrian, don't always want to be on the losing end of that equation. Bikes aside, I will not be voting for this bond measure even though I am an avid hiker and user of their parks. It's too open ended on what it pays for. Like most any construction project these days, inflation costs are to be expected as a project tries for completion. So how many of those 25 projects will be completed before MROSD comes asking for more $$$ to complete them? AND, when will this bond measure be paid off and be deleted from my property tax bill? Maybe if they had asked for half of that $300mil they could have impressed me with what they can accomplish, above what is already on my tax bill.

I don't think it was really necessary to give religious lunatics more ink, especially after all theRead More recent end of the world failures. Keep up with the science articles , but leave the end of the world porn alone.

I like going out to yard sales more than holding them although we do at least twice a year. MyRead More boyfriend is great at finding deals (more expensive items) and then flipping them, that's pretty awesome! I enjoy the early mornings out together, coffee, meeting new people and sometimes coming across something really cool, like my angel bell. I've never heard of bookoo.com Stephanie P, gonna look into that for selling : ) thanks!
