<p>Martha's Pastries is a surprisingly humble bakery considering its loyal clientele. Lauded by many for treats such as its pecan sticky buns, challah, éclairs, cinnamon bread loafs, sugar cutouts, chocolate chip cookies, cinnamon apple-filled scones, cream puffs, cheese and cherry danishes, hamentashen, apricot bars, chocolate mousse cake, cherry tartlets, ham croissants, chocolate croissants and many other decadent delights, Martha's Pastries is a gem in Menlo Park. Many of its customers know the owners on a first-name basis, and are often moved to a slew of appreciative adjectives when they talk about it.</p> <p>Because of the crowds, it is recommended that you order baked goods in advance; many items sell out early. Martha's does coffee, and, with its 1950s-style feel and outdoor seating, it is known as a great alternative to neighboring Starbucks.</p>
