Menlo Democrats Club Hosting Blanket Drive

Blankets will be given to veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

The North Peninsula Democrats and the Menlo Democrats Club are encouraging community members to participate in their blanket drive, so U.S. armed forces veterans who have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder can stay warm as the temperatures drop.

The event is not exclusively for Democrats, says Raymond Mueller, co organizer of the event. Anyone who wants to bring a blanket is welcome to do so.

The event will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, in the parking lot behind .

"They are also encouraged to provide a hand written card expressing their appreciation for the Veteran's service," Mueller said.

People who cannot make it to the event, but would still like to donate a blanket can email him directly at menlo.commish.mueller@gmail.com to find a mutually beneficial time for him to pick up the blanket.
