For many Dunkin' Donuts regulars, the return of certain seasonal menu items can be a sure-fire sign that spring has arrived.

But this year there will be a new addition to the popular chain's menu - Easter-themed PEEPS Doughnuts.

BuzzFeed Food is reporting that Stan Frankenthaler, Dunkin Donuts’ executive chef and VP of “product innovation” for their brands confirmed that the new PEEPS donut will be available at participating stores for a limited time starting on Monday, March 31.

You can see an image of the PEEP doughnut above, which posted to this Buzzfeed report.

So - we have to ask: would you get in line to try out the PEEPS doughnut?

Do these thing have yoga mat in them, too? Nope, gave up empty calories in 1998. No wonder Americans are so unhealthy - coffee and pastries for breakfast, fast food for lunch, prepared/processed food for dinner, soda/sweet tea to drink all day. Doesn't anyone actually COOK (not heat up) any more? Big Pharma loves you!

Would i get in line for ANYTHING at Dunkin Donuts..... NO. Not even if there were no other customers. DD is for people who've never had a decent cup of coffee, lines are where morons into "what's trending" gather to show off their eagerness to be manipulated.

An Easter-themed 'peep'-show in their drive-thru window could be interesting. Otherwise, DD's coffee has signficantly less caffiene than Starbucks - you get what you pay for, 'peeps' or no 'peeps', and how much are those Statins going to cost to mitigate the saturated fats you're taking in from their other products? 'Peeps' or no 'peeps', I'll continue to take a pass on DD's.
