Burgess Pool Closing for Kids Triathlon

and will be the arena for a kids triathlon Saturday morning.

The City of Menlo Park will be closing Alma Street in front of Burgess Park to make room for the bike portion of the triathlon, which will feature athletes between the ages of 5-14. 

“Any kid can participate," said Gudrun Enger, event outreach coordinator for . 

“Registration is open until Friday,” Enger said. “Then same-day registration is available Saturday morning in limited quantities,” she added.

Threshold Racing, the City of Menlo Park, and Menlo Swim and Sport are co-hosting the event that begins at about 7:30 a.m. Saturday.

All lanes of will be used during the event.
