Menlo Park Prepares for the Fourth of July

The City of Menlo Park will be hosting a parade and a carnival on the fourth of July.

The City of Menlo Park will be hosting a Fourth of July parade and celebration that will feature fun activities for people of all ages.

The parade will start in the parking lot on Santa Cruz Avenue and Chestnut.  People dressed in red, white, and blue will be riding their bikes or wagons through the streets starting at 11:45 a.m. They will walk and roll through the city to Burgess Park, located at Alma and Burgess Avenue.

At the park, Menlo Park residents and their loved ones can enjoy carnival games, music by The House Rockers, and a jumpy house. There will also be crafts, face painting and food.

A wristband is required for some of the activities. It is $7 and can be purchased at the event. Advance admission tickets can be picked up in person at the Arrillaga Family Gymnasium, located at 600 Alma.  The festival concludes at 2:30 p.m.
