Facebook Employees To Play In Tech Carnival
Facebook, Square, Google, and other tech company employees will be playing in a "Tech Carnival" to benefit the Special Olympics of Northern California.
Plinko, sumo wrestling, and human bowling. These are three of the carnival games that will be played at Candlestick Park in San Francisco on Wednesday for charity.
Dozens of Silicon Valley mathletes will be putting their physical strengths to the test at the first ever "Tech Carnival," mixing sports, technology, and philanthropy into one festive summer scene.
Facebook, a Menlo Park-based company, will be one of many tech companies with employees at the event, along with Palantir, Uber, Jawbone, and LinkedIn.
Also attending will be Internet celebrities Robert Scoble, from Rackspace, and Dylan Tweney, from Venture Beat, who will be in a dunk tank. Randi Zuckerberg’s band Feedbomb and a cover band named Coverflow are scheduled to jam out.
The Tech Carnival was placed in the park like a pop-up shop in a brick and mortar store. Silicon Valley Sports League is hosting the event, which will benefit the Special Olympics of Northern California.
The event is open to the public and runs from 6-10:30 p.m. at Candlestick Park.
