The Menlo School boys’ basketball team kept a torrid pace with St. Mary’s in the first half, holding a five-point lead before falling 54-43 in a non-league game at home Tuesday night.
Guard Bobby Roth paced the Knights with 16 points and fellow junior Mikey Diekroeger pitched in with 10. Jeremy Davis scored 21 for the Panthers of Albany.
Menlo (0-3) plays Menlo-Atherton at home, 7 p.m. Friday, preceded by the girls' game.
