In the second round of Central Coast Section Div. IV playoffs, the Menlo School girls’ basketball team eliminated Carmel 54-35 on Thursday at home.
The Knights (18-9) jumped out to a 29-12 halftime lead. Menlo was led in scoring by Kaelen Dunn who had 14 points while fellow sophomore Donya Dehnad and junior Drew Edelman chipped in with 11 each. Junior guard Lauren Lete and Dunn each dropped three three-pointers.
Menlo next plays in the quarterfinals against third-seeded Scotts Valley (18-8) on Saturday at Notre Dame-Belmont.
