The Menlo School boys’ lacrosse team defeated host Palo Alto 11-7 in a “great, emotional win” Thursday night in Santa Clara Valley Athletic League play on the road.
The Knights (8-9 overall and 6-4 SCVAL) avenged an earlier overtime loss to the Vikings. Menlo got a five-goal, two-assist performance from junior Wiley Osborne, who also picked up four ground balls. Luc McNally collected 14 saves in another standout outing.
“Our players can score goals, as they have all year, but lately our goalie Luc McNally has been sensational and has inspired our effort with his play,” Menlo coach Todd Blumbergs said.
