Menlo Girls' Water Polo Cruises Past Half Moon Bay

Menlo sophomore Audrey Flower scored four times for Menlo School.

The Menlo School girls’ water polo team fired off consecutive shots for goals in the opening minutes and rolled to a 12-7 league victory over Half Moon Bay at home Wednesday.

The Knights, coming off an overtime win over Hillsdale the previous day, improve to 8-2 in Peninsula Athletic League-Ocean Division play and are 9-4 overall.

“This is a super close team, and they were pumping each other up yesterday as well as today,” Coach Fana Fuqua said. “They really feed off each other and there’s a lot of motivation. That’s important because then they feel the team belongs to them.”
