Stanford Professor To Bring “Happiness Within Reach”

Fred Luskin, Ph.D., to talk about ways to practice self compassion at the Menlo-Atherton Center for the Performing Arts this week.

Stanford University faculty members will hold a program about how to attain happiness at the Menlo-Atherton Center for Performing Arts on Thursday. 

The Consortium of Atherton and Menlo Park United Schools invited professionals from the Stanford Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education Center to discuss ways to alleviate stress and practices for leading more fulfilled lives.

The event is called “Happiness Within Reach: Practicing Self-Compassion and Forgiveness.” 

The presenters will be Fred Luskin, Ph.D, Stanford faculty in the Health Promotion Services department; Donnovan Yisrael, M.A., Health Promotion Services Program Manager at Vaden Health Center; and Leah Weiss Ekstrom, M.A., Education Director of Compassion Education for the Stanford Center for Compassion and Altruism Research.

The Consortium is a partnership between the , the , the Menlo-Atherton PTA and the Sequoia Healthcare District.

The event is from 7-8:30 p.m. on Thursday March 8. Free tickets can be obtained via this link on Eventbrite.
