Knights Preparing to Defend Championship Performance

During the opening game against Soquel High School, Menlo School's water polo team brought out their signature moves.

In Annual Home opener against Soquel High School, the Menlo Knights came out strong, implementing their signature movement-style team defense with 7 players recording steals (Andreas Katsis leading with 6) anchored by goalkeepers sophomore Spencer Witte and junior John Wilson.

Their new counter-attack focus offense doesn't center around one player but, instead, around a team-approach and saw eight different players score, while Alexander Carlisle led the team with 4 assists.

Menlo now prepares to defend their championship performance at least season's Scott Roche Invitational where they beat De La Salle in the semifinals and then Menlo Atherton in the finals.  The tournament features some of the top teams in Northern California, Los Angeles, and San Diego, and runs from this Friday at noon through Saturday at 5:00 at Menlo School and Palo Alto High School.
