Menlo Park City School District Superintendent Maurice Ghysels announced Erik A. Burmeister is his choice for principal of l.
Burmeister is a Stanford University graduate who has worked in Campbell, California as the Dean of Students at Westmont High School. His career in education began when he was a teacher in the Federal Hocking School District in Stewart, Ohio in 1995. He is presently the Principal of Union Middle School in San Jose, California.
Mike Melton, , announced his retirement in Janurary this year. He will be concluding his employment on June 30, 2012. Since then, the district has been searching for a person to succeed him and the departing principal of .
Ghysels will present Burmeister, along with his choice for Encinal Principal, , to on May 8. The school board must approve their employment contracts before they can begin working for the district.
