Menlo School 52, Harker 44

The Menlo School boys’ basketball team took charge late in the third quarter and wrapped up a 52-44 victory over Harker in San Jose in a West Bay Athletic League game Friday.

The Knights held a 10-point lead midway through the third period before Harker made an 8-0 run to cut the lead 38-36. Menlo senior Richard Harris scored on the ensuing play, and the Eagles never got closer.

Senior Richard Harris had a masterful performance on the boards and finished with 15 rebounds and scored 16 points. Sophomore guard Bobby Roth and senior forward Freddy Avis each contributed nine points.
