Planning Commission Will Consider Alcohol Permit

Public hearing about the permit begins at 7 p.m. tonight in Council Chambers.

The Planning Commission will consider a permit tonight that would enable the at 643 Santa Cruz Avenue to sell beer and wine.

The agenda for tonight’s session says the commission “will need to determine whether the sale of alcohol at this location serves a public convenience or necessity, in accordance with the requirements of the State Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.”

A public hearing will be held in , which are located at 701 Laurel, for residents to express their concerns about the permit.

Another item of interest on the agenda is an application for a use permit that would allow a karate studio to be build at 1131 Chestnut Street.
