City Uninterested in Belle Haven Input

Open letter from an East Menlo Park parent who says the city is about to make a big mistake.

I am a parent of three children who attend the Belle Haven After School Program. will affect a lot of working parents.

If the city decides to close the program, there is not many options on where our children can attend. The city has not involved the community whatsoever! The city shows little interest on the Belle Haven side. We have for many years been the first to have gotten programs/ staff eliminated. It's not right and fair!

As a parent I have felt the program being safe, fun, caring and inviting for my children and family. My children have learned a lot and have met many friends throughout the years they've attended.

I am very heartbroken to hear, that such a wonderful program will be taken away from my children/community. It saddens me that the city can be so cruel, to not even consider the affect it will have on our children.
