President Obama will arrive fashionably late to a brunch fundraiser in Atherton around 10:25 a.m., which was originally scheduled for 9 a.m.

President Obama left Crissy Field in San Francisco and arrived by helicopter to the Menlo Park Circus Club, where high security and Secret Service dogs were guarding the area.

Authorities this morning blocked off an area around San Francisco's Crissy Field, where the president left by helicopter for the Peninsula.

The president arrived in the Bay Area on Wednesday evening for a short fundraising trip that included two events in San Francisco that night.

He stayed overnight at the InterContinental San Francisco hotel at Fifth and Howard streets, and early this morning police began shutting down streets in the South of Market neighborhood to allow his motorcade to pass through.

An employee at the Beach Hut Cafe, located at 1199 East Beach at the eastern edge of Crissy Field, said around 9 a.m. that city and U.S. Park Police had blocked off streets there in anticipation of the president's arrival.

From the city, Obama will head to a morning brunch of 30 people hosted by Liz Simons and Mark Heising, followed by a 10:30 a.m. luncheon with 200 people at the home of Marcia and John Goldman, which will likely be pushed back. Those stops will benefit the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

Obama attended two events on Wednesday to raise money for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in San Francisco's Pacific Heights, including a dinner at the home of Ann and Gordon Getty.

Obama will depart from San Francisco International Airport this afternoon.
