Menlo Park Seeks Multi-Modal Transportation Mavens

The City of Menlo Park is recruiting residents who want to get involved in their local government this year.

The City of Menlo Park is recruiting residents who want to get involved in their local government this year. The Transportation Commission will soon have three vacancies, according to Pam Aguilar, deputy city clerk for the City of Menlo Park.

The commission is a body of volunteers who live in Menlo Park that review transportation elements of large-scale projects to assess how they would impact the public’s ability to move around the city. Their purpose is to help the City Council develop a transportation system that bolsters the goals in the city’s General Plan.

Transportation Commissioners coordinate with regional transportation officials and serve as liaisons between city staff and residents. They also plan for and hear appeals about traffic signs, speed zones, parking regulations, bike lanes, bus stops, and parking regulations.

For more information about this opportunity, contact Pam Aguilar at (650) 330-6620 or piaguilar@menlopark.org.
