This election season, Menlo Park residents will be asked to choose who will represent their interests on City Council. Voters will be selecting two individuals from a pool of at least five.
The deadline to submit candidate nomination paperwork to the city clerks' office was 5 p.m. on Friday.
At 5:40 p.m. City Clerk Margaret Roberts told Patch that five people had qualified to be candidates in this year's City Council Election.
In alphabetical order, they are:
- Firefighter Dave Bragg
- Parks and Recreation Commissioner Catherine Carlton
- Housing Commissioner Carolyn Clarke
- Incumbent Kelly Fergusson
- Transportation Commissioner Raymond Mueller
Although the period to nominate a candidate closed on Friday at 5 p.m., incumbent Andrew Cohen did not file paperwork to run in November’s election, which extended the deadline to August 15th at 5:30 p.m.
