Compost improves soil nutrients, increases root water storage capacity and reduces irrigation requirements. Make your spring garden more water efficient by using free compost. Menlo Park residents are invited to pick up free compost at Bedwell Bayfront Park on July 7th, August 4th, September 1st, October 6th, and November 3rd (the first Saturday of each month in 2012 excluding December) during regular park hours (sunrise to sunset) while supply lasts.
