Menlo Park and other 24 cities in San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties are interested in regulating single use carryout bags distributed by retail establishments. The County of San Mateo is assisting local jurisdictions in making an informed decision by preparing an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) to address the impacts a single-use carryout bag regulation would have on the environment.
This meeting will be held to gather input that will assist in focusing the EIR on environmental issues that concern the public and businesses.
