Other facts

I started my career as an accounting and finance professional and then went on to develop a career in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning. I believe in building community through volunteerism and education and support a number of educational, environmental and cultural organizations. I am a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, Chair of the Atherton Library Building Steering Committee and a member of the Atherton Tree Committee since 2000. As a Master Gardener and Sustainable Landscape Expert I promote research driven and sustainable landscape practices through public outreach and education. I recently worked with the teachers and students at Redwood High School in Redwood City to develop and Master Plan for their R.E.A.L. Garden (Redwood Environmental Action and Leadership. As member of the Holbrook-Palmer Park Board of Directors and Atherton Dames I work with other members to support and raise funds for Holbrook-Palmer Park. In 2003 I initiated a community driven process that was also led by Joan Dolan and Roslyn Eigler, both Landscape Architect Professionals to develop a Landscape Masterplan for Holbrook-Palmer Park. The plan was approved by the Atherton City Council in 2005 and since that time the Holbrook-Palmer Park Foundation and Atherton Dames have successful raised funds to complete the park walking path, pedestrian bridge, Water Tower Garden and develop plans for the refurbishment of the Carriage House.
