City Council Selects New City Manager

Position filled temporarily.

City Council selected Starla Jerome Robinson, Menlo Park’s Assistant City Manager, as interim Tuesday night during a closed session in Council Chambers.

Jerome Robinson succeeds Glen Rojas, who will be leaving the position when his contract concludes in December.

Menlo Park’s government functions in the “council-manager” model, which duplicates the one found throughout business and education administrations. The city manager acts as CEO, conducting day-to-day operational tasks and leading city staff, while creates policy and has the final vote on legislative matters.

The city hired recruitment firm Avery Associates to process the applications.
