UPDATE: Saturday's Gun Buyback Will Be 'Drive-Through'

Sheriff's deputies are advising those hoping to sell guns for cash to transport them in the trunk of their car and 'drive onto the site.'

The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office indicated Thursday it is expecting a rather large turn-out for this Saturday's gun buy-back event at the San Mateo County Event Center.

They also advised, in a statement sent out Thursday, that the buy-back will be a "drive-through" event.

"All firearms must be unloaded and stored in the trunk of the vehicle, with all magazines and ammunition stored separately, outside the trunk," the statement read.

"Citizens who attempt to walk up to the turn-in site will be directed to place their firearm(s) in their vehicle and drive onto the site."

The Sheriff's Office has indicated that this weekend's buy-back will be completely anonymous, with "no questions asked," and that, once a firearm turned in has been found not to have previously been reported lost or stolen, it will be destroyed by the Sheriff's Office.

The event will take place this Saturday, Jan. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Event Center, located at 1346 Saratoga Dr. at the corner of Delaware Avenue in San Mateo.

Now we have O'Bambam extorting Wal-Mart and other corporations who manufacture and sell firearms. Where is the outrage? Why is this not on the 6 O'Clock news?!

Seattle Gun BuyBack Get’s JACKED! Turns Into a Damn Gun Show! Police officers in Seattle, Washington held their first gun buyback program in 20 years this weekend, underneath interstate 5, and soon found that private gun collectors were working the large crowd as little makeshift gun shows began dotting the parking lot and sidewalks. Some even had “cash for guns” signs prominently displayed. Police stood in awe as gun enthusiasts and collectors waved wads of cash for the guns being held by those standing in line for the buyback program. People that had arrived to trade in their weapons for $100 or $200 BuyBack gift cards($100 for handguns, shotguns and rifles, and $200 for assault weapons) soon realized that gun collectors were there and paying top dollar for collectible firearms. So, as the line for the chump cards got longer and longer people began to jump ship and head over to the dealers.
