The Holiday Humbug Files: Menlo Park

Patch compiled the crimes committed during the Christmas holiday into one report.

 

On the night before Christmas all through the town, the scrooges decided to cavort all around. The children were tucked into bed with a smile, while holiday humbugs emerged to defile.

Menlo Park Police Officer Swanson investigated reports of a petty theft in the 800 block of Paulson Circle at 11:49 a.m.  Someone stole packages. 

At the corner of University Drive and Cambridge Avenue, Officer Foy arrested a Santa Clara resident with warrants from Marin County. The man was charged with burglary and possession of stolen property at 11:54 a.m.

Officer Russell investigated a domestic dispute in the 2000 block of Menalto Avenue at 1:03 p.m.  The situation was resolved at the scene.

Officer Solorzano responded to a fire at 6:57 p.m. in the 800 block of Roble Avenue; Find out more information about that in this article. 

At 8:47, Officer Hughes compiled a report about a hit and run with property damage in the 200 block of Oak Grove.

At 9:12 p.m., Officer Adair investigated a burglary in the 1100 block of Berkeley Avenue.  

 

On Christmas Day residents provoked such a clatter; the Menlo Park Police responded to see what was the matter.

Officer Hughes investigated a domestic disturbance in the 500 block of Hamilton Avenue at 2:01 p.m.  A Redwood City resident was arrested and booked into county jail.

Around the corner in the 1300 block of Willow Road, Officer Knopp found someone disturbing the peace at 5:29 p.m.  “Neither party desired any further police action,” said a police spokesperson 

A bike was found in the 100 block of Chester Street at 7:39.  Officer Poirier took a report.

The final scene of the day was in the 1100 block of Carlton Avenue.  Officer Poirier transported a patient to another location for a mental evaluation.
