Police Investigating Homicide in Menlo Park

Police closed Madera Avenue to vehicles and pedestrians during the preliminary analysis.

The 1300 block of Madera Avenue was closed Saturday, while Menlo Park Police investigated the scene of a homicide.

Early Saturday morning, police responded to a 911 caller who advised them that someone had been shot.  Officers arrived and found a male who had at least one gun shot wound.  The man who had been shot was not responding when police tried to communicate with him.

The victim was a 19-year-old Menlo Park resident.  Police are withholding his name, until his family has been notified.

The police do not have any suspects right now and are not releasing any more information about the incident. The road reopened at around 1 p.m.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Menlo Park Police at (650) 330-6300.
