Police Seek Moustachioed Robber

The man robbed the Walgreens in downtown Menlo Park.

Menlo Park Police are looking for a man they say robbed the Walgreens on Santa Cruz Avenue Friday night.

Police say the man “confronted” a store manager in their office and demanded cash. The manager gave an undisclosed amount of cash to him, which he placed in a paper bag.  The robber escaped through the store’s back door.  No one was hurt in the process.

At about 7:45 p.m., police arrived at the drug store, which is located at 643 Walgreens Avenue.  The man remains unidentified and free.

The robber is described as a white male in his 40s with short dark hair.  He is about 5’10 to 6 feet tall.  During the incident, he was wearing a light colored hoodie, a green military style jacket and dark pants.  He was also wearing a baseball cap and multi-colored gloves.  Witnesses said he was wearing a false moustache.

Police are asking anyone with information to call them at 650-330-6300.
