Police Blotter: Pricey Warrants and Bank Fraud

The following arrest information was supplied by the Menlo Park Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Monday

9:02 a.m., 2400 block of Sand Hill Road: An unknown suspect, or suspects, broke into a commercial building and stole two iPads and a laptop.

9:32 a.m., 1100 block of Windermere Avenue: A car was reported stolen.

12:40 p.m., 2100 block of Ralmar Avenue, East Palo Alto: Chariece Chew, 28, a Union City resident, was arrested and booked on suspicion of possessing illegal drugs.

7:32 p.m., Bay and Marsh Roads: Police arrested and booked a juvenile for driving with a suspended or revoked license and for a probation violation.

 

Tuesday

12 a.m., 700 block of Laurel Street: Someone found a wallet.

12:59 a.m., Laurel Street and Willow Road: Williw Brister was cited with a notice to appear in court on a $700 warrant out of Alameda County.

8:47 a.m., Willow Road and Bayfront Expressway: Peihsiang Vuong, 33, a Sunnyvale resident, was cited and released with a notice to appear in court on a $3,000 warrant out of Menlo Park.

10:51 a.m., Menlo Avenue and Curtis Street: Police towed a car for having an excessive number of unpaid parking tickets.

 

Wednesday

9:28 a.m., 1300 block of Madera: Someone lost a credit card and later discovered that fraudulent charges were made on the account.

1:51 p.m., El Camino Real and Ravenswood Avenue: Police towed a car for an expired registration.

1:58 p.m., 800 block of Santa Cruz Avenue: An unknown suspect tried to pass a forged check.

2:01 p.m., 000 block of Terminal Avenue: An adult made inappropriate comments to a juvenile.

2:43 p.m., 3000 block of Sand Hill Road: A minor injury car accident happened.

 

Thursday

12:06 a.m., 300 block of Middlefield Road: Two people got into a fight at work.

8:19 a.m., 1300 block of Crane Street: Police arrested Jolene Hermann, 85, on a $5,000 traffic warrant out of Santa Clara County after she got into a car accident.

10:44 a.m., 1100 block of Elder Avenue: An unknown suspect splashed an unknown substance on a woman's front door.

12:26 p.m., 1200 block of Willow Road: Police arrested Generao Navarro, 51, on a $30,000 warrant out of Norwalk and also on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

5:15 p.m., Sharon Park and Lassen Drives: Someone reported seeing some juveniles in possession of marijuana.

6:05 p.m., 700 block of Partridge Avenue: An unknown suspect used a woman's e-mail account in an attempt to access the her bank account information.

8:18 p.m., El Camino Real and Fifth Avenue, Redwood City: Karen Cavin, 50, was arrested and booked on suspicion of drunken driving.

 

Friday

1:21 p.m., 000 block of Trinity Court: An unknown suspect or suspects stole several items from a construction site over the last year. 

2:17 p.m., 400 block of Pope Street: A resident found a screen removed from a window on the house.

4:28 p.m., Santa Cruz Avenue and Sand Hill Road: Police cited and released Andrea Schweder, 45, a Redwood City resident, on a $296 warrant out of Santa Clara County.

7:25 p.m., 700 block of Live Oak: Police took a report on a family dispute.

7:34 p.m., 1300 block of Hollyburne Avenue: An unknown person contacted someone in violation of a restraining order.

7:43 p.m., 500 block of Ivy Drive: A dog bit someone.

 

Saturday

2:03 a.m., El Camino Real and Roble Avenue: Police arrested Omar Nieto,31, a Hayward resident, on suspicion of drunken driving.

6:50 a.m., 100 block of Durham Street: Police took a report on a possible case of animal cruelty.

2:22 p.m., Evelyn Street and Santa Cruz Avenue: An unknown suspect stole a bicycle.

7:29 p.m., 400 block of Pierce Road: An unknown suspect broke into a storage locker.

10:28 p.m., 1100 block of Saratoga Avenue, East Palo Alto: Police arrested Janisa Renee Jones, 22, an East Palo Alto resident, on suspicion of possessing illegal drugs and on a $5,000 warrant out of Santa Clara County. 

11:45 p.m., Middlefield Road and Seminary Drive: Police cited and released Francisco Laredo, 23, a Concord resident, with a notice to appear in court a $10,000 warrant out of Kern County for driving with a suspended or revoked license.

 

Sunday

11:20 a.m., 300 block of Sherwood Way: Police cited Eric Grounner, 64, a Los Gatos resident, with a notice to appear in court on an outstanding warrant out of Palo Alto.

1:32 p.m., El Camino Real and MIddle Avenue: Jose Rivera,  28, a San Jose resident, was cited and released on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

4:42 p.m., Bayfront Expressway and University Avenue, East Palo Alto: Police recovered a stolen car.

5:56 p.m., Woodland Avenue and Middlefield Road: Someone found a wallet and turned it to police.
