Update: Police Find Missing Elderly Man Unharmed

Updated: 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11: Daly City police authorities are reporting they've found a missing elderly man unharmed who disappeared this morning in South San Francisco.

The Daly City Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a missing elderly man who disappeared this morning from the Costco parking lot, 1600 El Camino Real in South San Francisco.

Ricardo Santiago, 80, is described as Filipino, 5-foot-3, 130 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes, wearing dark blue Docker-style pants, a gray and cream colored jacket, beige shoes and a navy blue hat, was last seen walking away from a family vehicle, according to police.

Santiago does not have a cellular phone, and his direction of travel is unknown, authorities said in the missing person alert.

Santiago is said to be carrying a black or brown wallet without identification.

He suffers from health issues and may be unable to care for himself, police said in the alert.

Anyone who has seen Santiago or has any tips about his whereabouts is asked to call the Daly City Police Department at 650-991-8119.
