Menlo Park Hires New Code Enforcement Officer

Menlo Park Police announced Tuesday that the department hired a new code enforcement officer to replace Liz Fambrini who retired.

New code enforcement officer Eleonor Hilario will be tasked with enforcing city, county, and state laws that are relevant to maintaining orderliness in Menlo Park. Fambrini had worked as Menlo Park’s code enforcement officer for 24 years.

Hilario previously worked in the City of Hayward as the landscape maintenance secretary, where she monitored about 1,000 housing units for 15 years.

Some of her responsibilities in Menlo Park will include monitoring sanitation violations, such as unsafe living conditions, keeping track of abandoned homes and vehicles, and monitoring illegal building modifications or structures. She will be the person to talk to about illegal dumping and unlicensed door-to-door salesmen.

Hilario will also be the person who conducts health inspections at Menlo Park restaurants and responds to noise violations such as chronic barking.

You can report code violations by calling (650) 330-6377 or sending an email to codeenforce@menlopark.org.
