Update: Sheriff Catches Man Armed With Shovel

County law enforcement officials were hunting for him.

A man armed with a shovel has been located in Woodside and is no longer considered a threat to the public, the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office said today.

The 23-year-old man had assaulted a relative with the shovel earlier today in the area of 150 Wildwood Way, sheriff's spokeswoman Rebecca Rosenblatt said.

He then left the scene and the sheriff's office warned the public that he may be dangerous, but he was located this afternoon. Sheriff's deputies are continuing to investigate the incident.

So happy that story about Google killing the Google Reader app was a joke. Google Reader is myRead More favorite way to read the Menlo Park Patch. Without Google Reader, I would miss all the great articles here.
