Man With Gunshot Wound Refused Police Aid

East Palo Alto man wounded on New Year's Day.

A man apparently grazed in the head by a gunshot in East Palo Alto this morning refused to cooperate with police as he was treated at Stanford Hospital, according to the East Palo Alto Police Department.

Felisi Evaimalo, 30, of East Palo Alto, entered the hospital at about 5:30 a.m. with a superficial wound police believe was caused by a bullet that grazed his head, police said. Evaimalo declined to tell police what had happened, only that his injury occurred in the area of Clarke Avenue and Buchanan Court in East Palo Alto, police said.

He was treated and released from the hospital, police said.
