Man Cited for Indecent Exposure

A Redwood City resident was cited in Menlo Park for improper behavior in front a laundromat.

A 55-year-old Redwood City resident exposed his genitals to a woman in Menlo Park on Sunday morning.

At 7:36 a.m. on Sunday David Mcgee was in front of the laundromat near the intersection of Willow Road and Newbridge Street.  A 38-year-old woman was nearby.

“The victim said he exposed his genitals to her while calling for her attention to look at him,” said Nicole Acker, Menlo Park Police spokesperson.

The man told police that he was merely urinating in public.

This is the second case of indecent exposure this year. On February 4, 2013 a man in a van exposed himself to a juvenile, catalyzing Menlo Park Police to increase the amount of police officers on the streets.  This incident took place within walking distance of the old police sub station

Mcgee was cited for indecent exposure, which is a misdemeanor, and released.  The case was sent to the San Mateo County District Attorney’s office for prosecution.
