Man Arrested After Shots Fired at Menlo Park Home

Incident occurred early Sunday morning on Windermere Avenue.

A Truckee man was arrested Sunday after allegedly firing shots at a Menlo Park home, according to police. The shots were fired around 1:30 a.m. today at a home on the 1300 block of Windermere Avenue, according to Menlo Park police.

After residents provided a description of the suspect, police located him driving away from the scene, Sgt. Tim Brackett said.

Geoffrey Smith, 24, was stopped and arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a handgun was found in his vehicle, Brackett said.

The victims told police that Smith, a Truckee resident, is known to them and that they had been having an argument before he fired shots at them. No one was injured in the incident.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Menlo Park police at 650-330-6300.

So happy that story about Google killing the Google Reader app was a joke. Google Reader is myRead More favorite way to read the Menlo Park Patch. Without Google Reader, I would miss all the great articles here.
