Highway 101 Cleared After Friday Gravel Spill

The California Highway Patrol shut down all lanes of Hwy. 101 southbound Friday night for nearly two hours following a gravel spill.

By Bay City News Service

All lanes of southbound U.S. Highway 101 in Menlo Park have reopened this morning after a dump truck dropped a load of gravel on the roadway late Friday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The spill was reported at 10:11 p.m. on U.S. Highway 101 near the interchange with Willow Road.

The truck dumped enough gravel on the road to prompt the CHP to
close all lanes of southbound Highway 101 at 10:24 p.m.

All lanes were reopened by 12:45 a.m., according to the CHP.

So happy that story about Google killing the Google Reader app was a joke. Google Reader is myRead More favorite way to read the Menlo Park Patch. Without Google Reader, I would miss all the great articles here.
