Menlo Park Firefighters Extinguish Taco Truck Blaze

A taco truck had caught fire, sending a plume of smoke into the air, according to the San Mateo County Fire Dispatch.

A taco truck on El Camino Real and Dumbarton Avenue in North Fair Oaks caught fire at 9:49 a.m. today prompting a response from several fire departments in the area.

Firefighters from the and other local jurisdictions quickly put out the blaze and no injuries have been reported yet.

One fire truck remains on the scene near , and the across the street, according to the San Mateo County Fire Dispatch.

A resident alerted Patch of the fire after smelling smoke and hearing helicopters circling the area. The helicopters were most likely from the media and not fire personnel, according to the dispatcher.
