EPA Police Seek Witnesses, Suspects in Tuesday Shooting

East Palo Alto police are still trying to determine a motive in a Tuesday evening shooting that left three city residents wounded.

Officer Veronica Barries said police are on the lookout for a gray, gold or silver Toyota Corolla that might have been the getaway vehicle in the shooting, which occurred shortly after 8 p.m. in the 1000 block of Myrtle Street, near Pulgas Avenue.

The three victims, one a juvenile, were all taken to hospitals and are expected to survive. The victims are cooperating with police, Barries said.

Police are still trying to determine whether the crime was gang-related. "We're still investigating at this point, we're in the preliminary stages and we're not ruling anything out yet," Barries said.
