EPA Police To Buy Guns

Anyone in the county can sell their guns Saturday.

The East Palo Alto Police Department will be buying back guns from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 5 at East Palo Alto City Hall.

The annual gun buy-back event started in 2009 when a 12-year-old boy found a rifle in a garage and accidentally shot and killed a two-year-old, according to EPA Police.

A police spokesperson said officers will not be asking questions about the gun's origins. The first 100 people to bring their guns by will receive $100.
