DUI Arrests Down, No Fatal Collisions During First Days of Holiday Weekend

Statewide, there were a total of 9 people killed in vehicle collisions this year.

The California Highway Patrol reports that there were no fatal collisions and 123 DUI arrests on CHP patrolled roads in the Bay Area during the first two days of the New Year's holiday weekend.

The totals are down from last year, when 161 drivers were arrested during the same period, and two people were killed, the CHP said.

Statewide, there were a total of 9 people killed in vehicle collisions this year, as compared to 12 last year, and 723 people arrested for driving under the influence, as opposed to 932 last year.

So happy that story about Google killing the Google Reader app was a joke. Google Reader is myRead More favorite way to read the Menlo Park Patch. Without Google Reader, I would miss all the great articles here.
