Breaking down the crimes that took place in Menlo Park last week.

The following information was supplied by the Menlo Park Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Monday

8:16 a.m., 100 block of Hedge Road: An unknown suspect entered a car and stole a backpack containing sunglasses and $50 cash. The owner told police he did not see signs of forced entry, but was sure that he locked the car.

8:23 a.m., 100 block of Hedge Road: An unknown suspect entered an unlocked car and stole some medical paperwork.

1:37 p.m., 1100 block of Windermere Avenue:  Someone found a placard.

2:54 p.m., Santa Cruz Avenue and Sand Hill Road: James Joseph Meola, 51, a Sunnyvale resident, was cited on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license. His 1995 BMW 540i was towed for a 30-day hold.

3:10 p.m., 1000 block of University Avenue: Police cited and released Eva Maria Scheiffer, 63, a Palo Alto resident, on suspicion of shoplifting.

11:44 p.m., University and Woodland Avenues: Evelyn Mary Bishop, 47, a Sunnyvale Resident, was arrested and taken to first chance on charges of drunken driving.

 

Tuesday

1:07 a.m., 1400 block of San Antonio Street: An unknown suspect stole a wallet.

2:06 p.m., Almanor Avenue and Ivy Drive: Police cited Raul Solorio, 24, an East Palo Alto resident, was cited on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

6:47 p.m., 1700 block of Bay Laurel: An unknown driver hit another  car and fled the scene.

8:39 p.m., 100 block of Dunsmuir Way: An unknown suspect entered a car and stole an unspecified amount of cash.

9:16 p.m., Bayfront Expressway and Chilco Street: Police cited Rodrigo Tale, 38, a Hayward resident, was cited on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

 

Wednesday

9:35 a.m., 2300 block of Carlmont Drive, Belmont: Police arrested and booked Erik Harding, 26, and Wilbert Ard, 24, into county jail for violating their probations. 

11:06 a.m., Menalto and Gilbert Avenues: Police cited Robert Rosiles, 39, a Redwood City resident, on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license and also on a $536 warrant out of Alameda County.

1:43 p.m., Chester Street and Willow Road: Police arrested Daniel Ambriz, 20, an East Palo Alto resident, on a $1,000 warrant out of East Palo Alto.

6:41 p.m., 900 block of Santa Cruz Avenue: A resident reported two cold-case burglaries. On May 24, an unknown suspect entered the person's home and stole a computer, and a month later, an unknown suspect entered the same home and stole an iPad.

7:12 p.m., 1300 block of Willow Road: Unknown suspects stole cash and ice cream from a vending cart.

 

Thursday

8:36 a.m., 1100 block of Willow Road: An unknown suspect made inappropriate comments to a female minor.

9:10 a.m., Alma Lane and Ravenswood Avenue: Police cited Jose Sanchez, 39, a San Mateo resident, on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

4:20 p.m., 1300 block of Willow Road: Police took a report on a possible case of domestic battery.

6:28 p.m., 900 block of Santa Cruz Avenue: Police detained someone who had been drinking and then released the person to a responsible adult.

6:57 p.m., 400 block of Claremont Way: An unknown suspect entered an unlocked car and stole belongings.

9:53 p.m., El Camino Real and Encinal Avenue: Police cited Joel Sandoval, 22, a San Jose resident, on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

 

Friday

10:52 p.m., El Camino Real and Stonepine Lane: An unknown suspect entered an unlocked car and stole two purses.

3:23 p.m., 500 block of Laurel Street: Police arrested Richard Seggie, 41, on suspicion of being drunk in public and took him to First Chance.

4:23 p.m., 1300 block of Adams Court: Someone reported a suspicious package that possibly contained drugs.

11:49 p.m., 400 block of Encinal Avenue: Police cited Shirley Ortega Sanchez, 21, on suspicion of possessing illegal drugs, driving with a suspended or revoked license and on a $5,000 warrant out of San Bruno.

 

Saturday

12:14 p.m., Ravenswood and El Camino Real: Police arrested John Maina, 29, on an outside warrant out of San Mateo County.

12:49 a.m., Almanor Avenue and Ivy Drive: Police arrested Thomas Williams, 32, an East Palo Alto resident, on suspicion of drunken driving and took him to a First Chance facility.

8:31 p.m., Newbridge Street and Jervis Avenue, East Palo Alto: Police cited Rigoberto Yepez, 21, on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

 

Sunday

3:53 a.m., Willow Road and Newbridge Street: Police arrested Juan Quezada, 23, on suspicion of drunken driving.

8:32 a.m., Menlo Park Police Station: A resident reported the possible abuse of a family member.

3:36 p.m., Ivy Drive and Sevier Avenue: Police cited Yohalmo Alarcon, 24, on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

8:15 p.m., 1900 block of Euclid Avenue: Police arrested Michael Lockett, 45, a Ukiah resident, on suspicion of spousal abuse and booked him into county jail.

10:20 p.m., 100 block of East Creek Drive: An unknown suspect stole a bicycle.

 

Monday

4:36 a.m., Newbridge Street and Westminster Avenue, East Palo Alto: Gilberto Rodriguez Ibarra, 35, an East Palo Alto resident, was cited and released on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

8:24 a.m., 100 block of El Camino Real: Police towed a car for having an expired registration.

1:32 p.m., Seminary Drive and Middlefield Road: Police took a case report on some juveniles who were acting suspiciously.

11:49 p.m., 1900 block of Euclid: An unknown suspect broke into a car. It's unknown if the suspect stole anything.
