Double Burglary Arrest, Man Popped on Weapons Charges and Two No-Bail Warrants

Read about the crimes that took place in Menlo Park this past week.

Monday

8:25 a.m., Marsh and Middlefield Roads: Kyle Costas, 24, a San Mateo resident, was cited and released on a $5,000 warrant for driving with a suspended license out of Santa Clara.

3:43 p.m., Laurel Street and Oak Grove Avenue: A driver hit a bicyclist, but no one was hurt.

4:48 p.m., 700 block of Willow Road: Humberto Franco, 54, a Menlo Park resident, was cited and released on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license after being in a two-car accident.

6:40 p.m., 1200 block of Carlton: An officer responded to reports of smashed car window, but later learned a spouse smashed it during a domestic altercation the day before.

10:44 p.m., Willow Road and Newbridge Street: Charles Lawyer, 52, an East Palo Alto resident, was arrested and booked into  county jail on a no-nail warrant out of Santa Clara County for carrying a specified deadly weapon.

 

Tuesday

7:48 a.m., Kelly Court and Obrien Drive: Police cited and released Rene Valdez, 29, a Pittsburg resident, on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license and on $5,000 warrant out of Chico for drunken driving.

10:57 a.m., 700 block of Laurel Street: A grand theft was reported.

2:14 p.m., Marsh Road: Jesse Valdez, 32, a San Mateo resident, was cited and released on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

3:13 p.m., 1000 block of University Drive: A driver hit another car and fled the scene.

 

Wednesday

1:26 p.m., 1100 block of Carlton Avenue: Someone reported a possible case of battery.

2:04 p.m., Menlo Park Police Department: Harvey Vonzell, 60, a San Jose resident, was arrested on a $5,000 warrant out of San Jose for theft with a prior.

4:26 p.m., 2200 block of Addison Avenue, East Palo Alto: Police arrested a juvenile for resisting a police officer and released the minor to a parent.

5:01 p.m., Highway 101 and Willow Road: Police cited and released Rodrigo Camacho, 21, on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

9:49 p.m., 2800 block of Sand Hill Road: An unknown suspect stole things from a safe at the end of last month.

 

Thursday

3:53 a.m., 400 block of Middle Court: An unknown suspect entered an unlocked car and stole items.

7:39 a.m., University and Woodland Avenues: Jorge Villamadriz, 25, a Menlo Park resident, was cited and released on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

11:27 a.m., Hamilton Avenue and Willow Road: Maynor Hernandez, 35, a Hayward resident, was cited and released on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

1:38 p.m., 100 block of Elm Street: Police cited a minor for possessing burglary tools.

3:20 p.m., 1000 block of Cambridge Avenue: An unknown suspect opened a credit card in someone else's name.

9:45 p.m., 2800 block of Sand Hill Road: Police cited and released Susan Ackerman, 33, a Burlingame resident, on suspicion of battery.

 

Friday

12:32 a.m., Pierce Road and Alpine Avenue: Police arrested Gabriel Hernandez, 18, on suspicion of stealing a car and driving with a suspended license.

4:05 a.m., Oak Grove Avenue and Toyon Road, Atherton: Haskell Story, 42, a San Leandro resident, was cited and released on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

10:27 a.m., Woodland and Euclid Avenues: Phillip Martinez, 22, was arrested and booked on a $7,500 warrant out of East Palo Alto for drunken driving.

12 p.m., 300 block of Bay Road: Javier Sanchez, 22, was arrested and booked into county jail on suspicion of burglary. Police also arrested a minor on the same the charge.

2:15 p.m., Marsh and Bay Roads: A driver hit another driver and fled the scene.

8:02 p.m., 300 block of Market Place: An unknown person violated a court order.

 

Saturday

2:06 a.m., Oak Grove Avenue and Marcussen Drive: Sergio Mena, 24, was arrested and booked into First Chance on suspicion of drunken driving.

5:22 p.m., 1100 block of Willow Road: Eric Clemons, 51, was arrested and booked on a no bail warrant from an outside jurisdiction.

9:12 p.m., 200 block of Ivy Drive: Calvin Daniels Jr., 22, a Stockton residet, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving  and possessing a deadly weapon, and on two no-bail warrants out of Santa Clara County.

 

Sunday

8:25 a.m., 1000 block of University Drive: Robin West, 61, an Atherton resident, was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting.

10:52 a.m., 1300 block of Modoc Avenue: An unknown suspect knocked down a fence during the middle of the previous night.

1:15 p.m., 1300 block of Willow Road: An unknown suspect stole cash from a home.

9:30 p.m., 800 block of El Camino Real: Someone reported a wallet a stolen.
