Accident on Bayfront in Menlo Park Injures Two

Eastbound traffic on Bayfront from Marsh Road affected.

Two people were transported to the hospital Wednesday, after being involved in an accident on Bayfront Expressway in Menlo Park. 

Menlo Park Police investigators said from the preliminary assessment of the situation, it appears that a Honda Accord hit a Ford truck and a Jeep Grand Cherokee. 

All three of the vehicles were going eastbound on Bayfront Expressway when the accident occurred. It is unclear why they collided, said Nicole Acker, Menlo Park Police spokesperson.

The 22-year old driver of the Honda and a passenger in the Jeep were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Acker said. The 52-year old driver of the Ford had no injuries and drove himself home. The two other cars were towed. 

Bayfront Expy between Chilco and Chrysler was closed to through traffic from about 2:45 p.m. to 4 p.m., while investigators compiled data.  The investigation is ongoing.
