Author Carissa Phelps Speaks at Kepler's

This evening at Kepler's, Catherine Carlton introduced Carissa Phelps, who launched her new book about her life as a Human Trafficking survivor. Carissa explained how Catherine worked to develop and pass AB 2040, the human trafficking bill that was just signed into law. Carissa went on to talk about her new book, Runaway Girl, and about her difficult but inspiring journey from 12 year-old human trafficking survivor to attorney, businesswoman, author and advocate for homeless youth.
