Nothing Says Happy Chanukah Quite Like A Giant LEGO Menorah

The giant Menorah will require 4,000 pieces of Legos.

With Thanksgivukkah just days away, and December creeping in right behind, it's time to start planning for the construction of the centerpiece of the Chanukah Festival--a giant Lego menorah.

The fourth annual Chanukah Festival will be held Tues., Dec. 3 at 5:15 p.m. in Redwood City's Courthouse Square.

The Chanukah Festival has been a source of pride to the Mid-Peninsula region, and this year organizers say it is going to be taken to new and greater heights as with the construction of the Menorah.

In addition to the giant Lego Menorah, this year’s program will also feature, local dignitaries, holiday music and delicious Chanukah treats.

Kids are invited to participate in the construction of the Lego Menorah, and when it’s all done, special lanterns will be inserted and the Menorah will be kindled.

Organizers say the giant LEGO Menorah wasn’t easy to design and requires over 4,000 pieces of Duplo Lego. They are asking members of the community to  consider sponsoring a box (or more) of LEGO for $36.
