Update: Clothing Needed for Fire Survivors in Redwood City

Relief coordinators who are organizing donation collection efforts for victims of the Woodside Road fire are asking people to call them before dropping off donations. 

"The reason is that they are not open and available all the time and don’t want stuff dropped off when no one is there," said Malcolm Smith, City of Redwood City communications manager. 

People who want to help victims of the fire in Redwood City should call 650-366-2742 to coordinate donation drop offs.

Cindy Pagan of the Salvation Army announced that donations should be delivered to The Salvation Army at 660 Veterans Blvd, Redwood City.  

Deliver them in care of Cindy. Pagan told Patch, "We will be accepting clothing donations thru Thursday, July  11th and gift cards thru next week at the earliest."

The Salvation Army is collecting clothing for victims of the fire that ravaged an apartment complex on Woodside Road in Redwood City.  The organization says they need socks, sweat pants and pants.  

The sweatpants should be sizes large and extra large, while the pants are needed in size 30-31.

Donations can be brought to the Salvation Army representatives at the Armory on Valota Road.
